With singer Park Bom taking a hiatus, 2NE1 will continue promotions as a three-member group. On August 3rd, CL posted a photo on her official account with the caption ″LAST DANCE,″ signifying her final dance. The photos were taken during the halftime performance of the second match of the ″2025 Coupang Play Series″ between Tottenham Hotspur FC and Newcastle United FC, held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul on August 3rd.
Layer CL, along with members Park Bom, Sandara Park, and Gong Minzy, successfully performed as a full group, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. Some fans responded by suggesting that CL was hinting at the possibility of a 2NE1 performance with Park Bom for the time being. Others suggested that this was a reference to Son Heung-min’s farewell match with Tottenham Hotspur, ahead of his transfer.
Park Bom announced that she would be temporarily halting 2NE1 activities due to deteriorating health. On the 6th, Park Bom’s agency, D-Nation Entertainment, announced through their official account, ″We would like to inform you that Park Bom will not be able to participate in 2NE1’s future schedules. It is with a heavy heart that we have to share this news, as many fans have been supporting 2NE1’s full group promotions. We recently received medical advice that sufficient rest and stability are necessary, and after careful consideration, we have come to this decision.″
The agency added, ″We ask for your warm encouragement and support for Park Bom’s recovery. We would also appreciate your support for Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy, who will do their best to ensure that Park Bom’s absence is not missed.″ Park Bom’s final 2NE1 performance before her hiatus was the halftime performance at the second leg of the ″2025 Coupang Play Series″ match between Tottenham Hotspur FC and Newcastle United FC, held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul on August 3rd.
Meanwhile, Park Bom, along with 2NE1 members Sandara Park, Minzy, and leader CL, successfully held the encore concerts of their solo tour ″WELCOME BACK″ at the KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) in Songpa-gu, Seoul on April 12th and 13th. All 22,000 seats available for the two-day concert sold out. Park Bom was unable to attend ″Waterbomb Busan 2025″ on July 25th due to poor health.
