
The group ENHYPEN has achieved a new milestone in Japan. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on the 8th, ENHYPEN’s fourth Japanese single, ″宵 -YOI-,″ surpassed 500,000 cumulative shipments in July, earning them a ″Double Platinum″ gold disc certification. The RIAJ certifies albums based on cumulative monthly shipments: ″Gold″ (100,000), ″Platinum″ (250,000), and ″Double Platinum″ (500,000).
With this achievement, ENHYPEN has earned its 15th gold disc certification. This marks the third time the group has achieved a ″Double Platinum″ certification, following their second Japanese single, ″Dimension: Senkou,″ and their third Japanese single, ″Yuu.″ The fourth single, in particular, surpassed 500,000 units in shipments in just three days, demonstrating ENHYPEN’s immense popularity in Japan.
″Yoi″ is the first Japanese album by ENHYPEN to achieve a ″half-million seller″ in its first week of release. The single ranked second on Billboard Japan’s ″Top Single Sales″ (dated August 6th), selling 575,330 copies in its first week. It also broke ENHYPEN’s own record for first-week sales by reaching second place on Oricon’s ″Weekly Single Rankings″ (dated August 11th).
ENHYPEN has achieved the milestone of being the only foreign artist to sell over 400,000 copies (Oricon) in its first week with a single released in Japan. The title track ″Shine On Me″ has also received positive feedback. It ranked second on Billboard Japan’s ″Hot 100″ (dated August 6th), earning 9,270 points. The music video for the song also topped Line Music’s ″Music Video Top 100″ real-time chart upon its release.
