Ntim has reached a significant milestone by achieving their first million-seller since their debut. The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) certified Ntim’s third single, ″Go in Blind,″ as a million-seller on the 8th, marking over one million cumulative units shipped. The RIAJ awards certifications based on monthly cumulative album shipments, with categories including Gold for over 100,000 units, Platinum for over 250,000 units, Double Platinum for over 500,000 units, Triple Platinum for over 750,000 units, and Million for over one million units.
Previously, Ntim topped both the weekly combined singles and weekly singles charts with ″Go in Blind,″ earning the highest points among artists this year. In a statement, Ntim expressed their joy at achieving their long-held goal of reaching the million-seller mark on their third debut anniversary, thanking their fandom, Rune, for their support. They emphasized their commitment to continue being artists that their fans can be proud of.
Ntim’s growth in Japan is notable, having released four albums in the past year. They have made over 300 appearances on Japanese TV programs, and their official social media following has nearly doubled since October 2019. In April, during the release month of ″Go In Blind,″ their monthly Spotify listeners surged by approximately 1.8 times compared to the same period last year.
Continuing their momentum, Ntim set a new record with their latest album. Their first Asian tour, which covered nine cities, attracted around 100,000 fans. They are set to hold their largest encore concert to date at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on October 25-26.
