
Tomorrow x Together has further solidified their presence in the Japanese music market by earning a Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The association announced on the 8th that Tomorrow x Together’s fourth full-length album, ″Star Chapter: TOGETHER,″ surpassed 250,000 cumulative copies shipped as of July, earning a Platinum Gold Disc certification. This achievement brings their total to 14 albums that have received Gold Disc certifications.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan awards Gold Disc certifications based on cumulative album shipments, with categories including Gold (over 100,000 copies), Platinum (over 250,000 copies), Double Platinum (over 500,000 copies), Triple Platinum (over 750,000 copies), and Million (over 1 million copies). Tomorrow x Together earned their first Gold Disc certification in 2020 with their Japanese debut single ″MAGIC HOUR″ and has continued to build on this record each year.
In 2021, they achieved their first Platinum and Double Platinum certifications with ″Chaotic Wonderland″ and ″GOOD BOY GONE BAD,″ respectively, in 2022. Last year, they celebrated their first Triple Platinum certification with ″CHIKAI″ (誓い/Chikai). The Japanese version of ″Beautiful Strangers,″ the title track of their fourth full-length album, is also receiving positive responses in Japan. Released on the 4th, the song topped both the Japanese iTunes Top Songs chart and the Oricon Daily Digital Single Ranking.
Riding this wave of popularity, their fourth full-length album reclaimed the top spot on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking dated August 6th. Meanwhile, ″Star Chapter: TOGETHER″ is performing well on global charts. According to the latest Billboard chart dated August 9th, it ranked third on the Billboard 200, the main album chart. Tomorrow x Together has had a total of 12 albums rank on this chart.
They also demonstrated their global prowess by topping the ″Top Album Sales,″ ″Top Current Album Sales,″ and ″World Albums″ charts this week.
