BTS’s Jungkook continues to make waves with his debut solo song ″Seven,″ which has solidified its status as a mega-hit. Released in 2023, ″Seven″ ranked 127th on Billboard’s Global 200 chart for the August 9th issue and reached 73rd on the Global (Excl. US) chart, dominating two major charts simultaneously. The song climbed 24 and 9 spots on both charts, respectively, compared to the previous week.
″Seven″ has set remarkable records, becoming the first Asian solo artist to remain on the Global 200 and Global (Excl. US) charts for 106 and 107 weeks, respectively, marking the longest-running weeks on both charts. Additionally, it has charted on Spotify’s ″Weekly Top Songs Global″ for 107 consecutive weeks.
With ″Seven,″ Jungkook achieved one billion streams in the shortest time in Spotify history and set the record for the most weekly streams by a male artist worldwide on the Spotify Global chart, amassing 89,748,171 streams. He also reached 100 million streams faster than anyone else, establishing a new world record for the most number-one hits (three) on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’s official MENA chart. This achievement has earned Jungkook official recognition from the UK’s Guinness World Records.
Furthermore, Jungkook has set a new record for the most wins among K-pop solo artists, securing three trophies at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) between 2023 and 2024. These accomplishments further enhance Jungkook’s reputation as a ’first-generation icon’ in the music industry.
