
BTS secured the top spot in the boy group brand reputation rankings for August 2025. The Korea Enterprise Reputation Research Institute analyzed consumer behavior using over 65.5 million pieces of brand data collected from July 9 to August 9, 2025. This analysis measured various indices, including brand participation, media, communication, and community engagement, reflecting a 4.77% increase from the 62.6 million pieces of data collected in July.
The top 30 boy groups in the brand reputation rankings for August 2025 included BTS, Seventeen, SHINee, Big Bang, Super Junior, NCT, The Boyz, EXO, ENHYPEN, TXT, Stray Kids, Winner, Ahop, Boynextdoor, MONSTA X, ATEEZ, ASTRO, Zerobase One, BTOB, TOURS, Wanna One, 2PM, ONF, TREASURE, TVXQ, RYZ, INFINITE, Highlight, VIXX, and Fantasy Boyz.
BTS, leading the rankings, recorded a participation index of 137,548, a media index of 1,456,074, a communication index of 3,342,720, and a community index of 3,926,705, resulting in a brand reputation index of 8,863,047. This marks a 12.49% decrease from July’s index of 10,128,032.
SEVENTEEN followed in second place with a brand reputation index of 5,494,252. Their participation index was 131,657, the media index was 905,292, the communication index was 1,840,906, and the community index was 2,616,397, reflecting an 11.81% decrease from July’s index of 6,230,280.
SHINee ranked third with a brand reputation index of 3,753,576. Their participation index was 37,483, the media index was 821,180, the communication index was 1,669,524, and the community index was 1,225,389, showing a significant 46.88% increase from July’s index of 2,555,566.
Big Bang came in fourth with a brand reputation index of 2,927,292. Their participation index was 43,998, the media index was 502,889, the communication index was 892,775, and the community index was 1,487,630, reflecting a 12.42% decrease from July’s index of 3,342,244.
Super Junior rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,801,649. Their participation index was 133,986, the media index was 911,601, the communication index was 703,399, and the community index was 1,052,664, marking a 27.62% increase from July’s index of 2,195,315.
The analysis for August 2025 included a diverse range of boy groups, showcasing the competitive landscape of the K-pop industry.
