Directed by Pil Gam-seong and featuring Jo Jung-seok, the film topped the box office with 353,491 viewers on the 9th, bringing its total audience to 3,025,704, according to the Integrated Computer Network for Cinema Tickets.

This impressive record positions ″Zombie Daughter″ as the fifth highest-grossing film of 2025 and marks the fastest film to reach 3 million viewers this year. It outperformed other notable films, including ″Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning,″ ″Opposition,″ ″F1: The Movie,″ and ″Mickey 17.″ Additionally, it tied the record set by ″Smuggled,″ the top-grossing film of the summer of 2023, and surpassed last year’s summer hit ″Pilot″ by a day.

Jo Jung-seok expressed his gratitude for the film’s success and shared his plans to fulfill his ″3 million promise″ through a video on NEW’s official social media. Alongside Yoon Kyung-ho, Jo had previously pledged during a live broadcast on YouTube’s ″Channel 15ya″ that they would perform the ″Sodapop″ challenge from the film ″K-Pop Demon Hunters″ if ″Zombie Daughter″ reached 3 million viewers. In the box office rankings, ″F1: The Movie″ secured second place with 132,836 viewers, while ″Ballerina″ and ″King of Kings″ followed in third and fourth place, attracting 46,197 and 33,248 viewers, respectively. ″Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,″ once considered a strong competitor, dropped to eighth place with 9,163 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 1,031,445.
