CORTIS is set to kick off full-scale promotions ahead of their debut on the 11th. The group has revealed a unique promotion schedule, featuring a 24-hour premiere on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel starting at midnight on the 10th. CORTIS is a five-member ensemble made up of Martin, James, Joo Hoon, Sung Hyun, and Gun Ho.
This promotional strategy marks a departure from traditional calendars and timetables. CORTIS adopts a guerrilla approach, announcing their schedule through a series of engaging videos. After introducing their group name via short-form content created by the members, they aim to provide fans with an entertaining and unpredictable promotional experience.
A video released on the 10th showcases the members’ daily activities, including skateboarding, hanging from a horizontal bar, and choosing bread. The promotional schedule is creatively displayed in unexpected locations, such as memos attached to the soles of shoes and posters on utility poles, capturing the attention of viewers.
At midnight on the 11th, CORTIS will unveil the music video for the intro track of their debut album, titled ″GO!″ This will be followed by a conceptual performance film centered on dance, set to premiere at midnight on the 12th. Both videos highlight the talents of the ″Young Creator Crew,″ a collaborative group responsible for music, choreography, and visuals.
The title track ″What You Want″ is scheduled for release on the 18th at 6 PM KST, accompanied by the conceptual performance film. An English version of the track, featuring Teezo Touchdown, will be available on the 22nd at 1 PM KST. Following a strong public response to their title track promotions, CORTIS will officially launch their debut album, ″COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,″ on September 8th at 6 PM KST.
CORTIS is the first rookie group in six years to debut under Big Hit Music, the label behind BTS and TXT. The group’s name, derived from the six letters in ″COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,″ symbolizes a commitment to free thinking and breaking away from conventional standards and norms.
All five members of CORTIS are teenagers, and they plan to showcase their collaborative efforts, each contributing unique ideas and fresh perspectives to the music scene.
