Singer Kang Daniel has showcased his growth as a performance artist, marking the beginning of the second act of his world tour. From September 9 to 10, he successfully held his two-day solo concert, ″ACT:NEW EPISODE,″ at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park. This concert served as an encore to his ″ACT″ tour, which began last October, and signaled an upgraded second act ahead of his upcoming tours in the US and South America.
During the concert, Kang Daniel performed a total of 28 songs over 160 minutes without a break. The scale and quality of the performance highlighted his dedication to his craft. The venue was transformed with impressive lighting, lasers, and large LED screens, while laser mapping added a new dimension to the staging. Three-dimensional images projected through a transparent curtain, combined with Kang Daniel’s performance, blurred the lines between reality and the virtual, creating an immersive experience for the audience.
In a standout moment, Kang Daniel introduced his personal lightsaber, enhancing the climax of the show with dazzling light effects. The concert also featured several ″firsts,″ including live performances of all tracks from his new album ″Glow to Haze.″ Notably, he performed ″Love Game,″ a song he co-wrote, marking its debut since his solo career began. The Korean versions of ″MESS″ and his Japanese single ″RE8EL″ were also unveiled for the first time. His carefully curated repertoire, developed since his solo debut, was uniquely rearranged for this event, and accompanied by a live band, Kang Daniel captivated the audience with his rich and textured sound.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Kang Daniel stated, ″Thanks to you, I was able to create precious memories in the places and stages I always wanted to visit. I will not stop pursuing meaningful challenges, and ’ACT’ will continue. I sincerely thank you.″
Following his electrifying performance in Seoul, Kang Daniel’s momentum continues as he prepares for a large-scale US tour starting in September. He will visit 12 major cities, including Washington, D.C., and New York. This epic journey will extend to South America, with stops in Argentina and Brazil. After previously successful tours in Asia and Europe, this world tour will further showcase Kang Daniel’s global influence.
