Rookie Cortis, a bomb of content that catches the eye


Preparations are complete, and CORTIS, the newcomer from Big Hit Music, is ready to take the stage. Their promotional campaign kicks off on the 11th, following a surprise announcement of their debut schedule through a 24-hour premiere on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, starting at midnight on the 10th. The group, consisting of Martin, James, Joo Hoon, Sung Hyun, and Gun Ho, revealed their upcoming plans through five sequential videos aired from midnight to 3 a.m.

This approach marks a refreshing departure from traditional promotional calendars, which usually announce content release dates through static images or brief clips. Instead, CORTIS employs a guerrilla marketing strategy, dropping hints throughout multiple videos to create an engaging and unconventional experience for fans. Following a self-produced short announcement of their team name, the members are now captivating audiences with their unpredictable promotional tactics.

The videos released on the 10th offer a glimpse into the members’ everyday lives, showcasing their authentic personalities through activities like skateboarding, exercising, and selecting bread. As viewers enjoy the content, promotional schedules appear unexpectedly, such as sticky notes on the soles of shoes and posters on utility poles.

CORTIS will unveil the music video for their debut album’s intro track, ″GO!″, at midnight on the 11th, followed by a conceptual performance film focused on dance at midnight on the 12th. These releases highlight the potential of the ″Young Creator Crew,″ who collaborate on music, choreography, and video production.

The group will make a spectacular debut on the 18th at 6 PM with the release of their title track ″What You Want″ and its accompanying conceptual performance film. An English version of the title track, featuring Teezo Touchdown, will be available on the 22nd at 1 PM. After making a strong impression with their title track promotions, CORTIS will officially launch their debut album, ″COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,″ on September 8th at 6 PM KST.
