
Singer Young Tak successfully wrapped up the first show of his fourth national tour in Seoul. The ″2025 Young Tak Solo Concert,″ known as ″TAK SHOW4,″ took place at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium from August 8th to 10th. This tour is a special celebration organized by Young Tak and his official fan club, YOUNGTAK&BLUES, to honor his 20-year career in music.
The concert, themed ″TAK Awards,″ featured a meticulously crafted one-man show that captivated the audience. The stage was designed to resemble a large trophy, enhanced with fireworks, lasers, and confetti. Young Tak made a striking entrance in a black tuxedo, opening the show with ″MMM (Gentlemanly Style)″ and ″Sarangok (思郞屋).″ He greeted the audience warmly, saying, ″Welcome to the TAK Show. This is your Young Tak,″ before diving into the special awards ceremony.
″TAK SHOW4″ offered a retrospective of Young Tak’s two-decade musical journey. He performed ″Sanae,″ which he first showcased on ″Mr. Trot,″ and ″Noona Ttakiya,″ the title track of his trot album, sharing nostalgic moments with fans. The concert also featured a selection of his best songs, including ″Yesterday, You Were You Today,″ dedicated to ″Mr. Trot 3″ winner Kim Yong-bin, and ″HOXY,″ a tribute to ″Tomorrow, Mr. Trot″ contestant Choi Dae-sung.
In between performances, Young Tak entertained the audience with portrayals of beloved characters from popular dramas and shows. His new song, ″Juicy Go (Duet with Kim Yeon-ja),″ was a highlight, delivered passionately from the central projection stage. The energy soared with hits like ″Pommichida″ (Pom-mi-da) and ″Super Super,″ culminating in a lively rendition of ″Pul-ina,″ which had the audience on their feet.
Young Tak honored ″Young Tak & Blues″ with the Lifetime Achievement Award, performing Choi Sung-soo’s ″Donghaeng″ as a tribute. He then took to a mobile stage, passionately singing ″Hasuksaeng″ (Guest House) while leading a dance parade featuring classics like ″Makgeolli Janjan″ (A Glass of Makgeolli) and ″Hallyang-ga″ (Hallyang-ga), bringing the concert to a thrilling climax.
The concert showcased a diverse array of songs, including ″Ugilgeol Ugyeo,″ ″Olyeo,″ ″Okay,″ ″Why Are You Here, Nega?″, and ″Jjiniya,″ reflecting on Young Tak’s career through powerful live performances. As the concert drew to a close, he touched fans’ hearts by reminiscing about his journey and the launch of ″TAK SHOW.″
After performing ″Talk it Slow″ and ″Blanket″ as encores, Young Tak expressed his gratitude, saying, ″See you soon. Us,″ and thanked fans for their support, declaring, ″The grand prize in my heart is Young Tak & Blues,″ as he awarded the grand prize at the TAK Awards to his fans.
Following the successful three-day concert in Seoul, Young Tak will continue his tour with upcoming performances at the DCC Daejeon Convention Center on August 30th and 31st, the Sori Arts Center of Jeonju on September 6th and 7th, the West Wing of EXCO in Daegu on September 20th and 21st, and the Songdo Convensia in Incheon on October 11th and 12th.
