
Disney+ is launching a new entertainment initiative called ″Weekly Arcade: A Weeklong Entertainment Playground.″ The first program under this project, titled ″Short You,″ features the consumer analysis talk show ″Why Did You Buy It?″ alongside Eom Geun-jin’s talk show ″Lonely Interview.″ ″Short You″ is a short-form interview variety show that draws on Yoo Byung-jae’s humor and serves as an extension of his YouTube content.
″Why Did You Buy It?″ focuses on consumer analysis and showcases a diverse cast, complemented by Yoo Byung-jae’s witty commentary. The show is set to premiere on August 25th, with a promotional poster featuring Yoo Byung-jae and Yoo Kyu-sun, both displaying puzzled expressions as they explore the spending habits of Korea’s top celebrities.
The trailer introduces a variety of celebrities, including Joshua and Sunmi from Seventeen, Moon Sang-hoon and Gwanggyo, Choi Yang-rak and Paeng Hyun-sook, as well as Rowoon and Park Ji-hwan from the Disney+ original series ″Mudflow.″ These celebrities share their unique consumption philosophies and engage in a lively debate, playfully challenging each other’s spending habits.
″Weekly Arcade″ will air five days a week at 8 a.m., consisting of 15 episodes filled with diverse entertainment content. The lineup includes ″60 Minute Blind Dates: New Faces Every 30 Minutes,″ ″Eurachacha Anchovy Camp,″ ″Baebulli Hills,″ Yoo Byung-jae’s ″Short A You,″ and ″Chef’s Auntie’s House.″
Through this project, Disney+ aims to broaden the horizons of Korean entertainment. The inaugural episode of ″Short A You,″ titled ″Why Did You Buy It?″ offers a fresh perspective on consumer behavior and promises to deliver engaging entertainment for viewers.
