Instructor Lee Do has suspended his teaching career due to deteriorating health. The social studies instructor at Etoos announced on July 26 that he would temporarily halt his teaching activities because of health and scheduling issues.

In a video released on Etoos’ official website on the 11th, Lee Do discussed his health challenges. He revealed, ″Actually, my health began to deteriorate this year.″ He mentioned that after receiving treatment and IV drips last year, his corneas worsened, making it impossible for him to look at a monitor for even a second.

Lee Do admitted that despite needing to write a textbook, ″writing became impossible.″ He shared a warning from his doctor: ″If you keep doing this, you’ll go blind. You absolutely must not look at the monitor.″ Despite this advice, he attempted to continue writing, which led to further vision problems. He expressed his fear, saying, ″I was very scared because I couldn’t see well. It was a mentally difficult time.″

Even with these challenges, he continued to lecture to fulfill his promise to his students. He explained, ″I had to keep my promise to the Poggles and my students, so I pushed ahead with filming against the hospital’s advice.″ Ultimately, he decided to suspend his lectures for the time being.

Currently, Lee Do is in recovery and stated, ″I am able to appear before you all.″ He added, ″I am still in the recovery phase, and while my corneas haven’t fully healed, I can manage my daily life. I am physically and mentally healthy, so I can speak to you all.″

Lee Do previously appeared on the Netflix program ″I’ve Been Single Since Birth, But I Want to Date.″
