Broadcaster Kangnam shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story about his wedding to Lee Sang-hwa during a recent episode of the web variety show ″Salty Brothers,″ which aired on the YouTube channel ″Salty Brothers Shin Dong-yup.″ He recounted a memorable moment from their wedding day.

In the video, Jung Ho-chul noted, ″I watched the wedding video. Even then, Kangnam was incredibly serious, without a hint of humor.″ Lee Sang-hwa chimed in, ″He just danced, but I prepared everything. I took care of the invitations, dress, and tuxedo. He only practiced his dance,″ which elicited laughter from the audience.

Kangnam reminisced about the scale of their wedding, stating, ″It was huge, with around 1,500 guests. I boldly declared, ’We’re bringing the national team, so let’s have a big wedding. I’ll cover the costs.’″ However, he later admitted, ″I didn’t realize that wedding gifts weren’t accepted. My cousin received them and kept adding money, saying, ’Thank you,’ and ’Oh, you’re a celebrity.’″ He explained that his cousin failed to record the amounts on the list but kept the cash.

Ultimately, Kangnam confessed, ″After the wedding, I had no idea who gave how much, so I couldn’t repay anyone. So, Sang-hwa ended up covering all the wedding expenses.″ Lee Sang-hwa quickly responded, ″That’s right. I paid for everything.″ Kangnam added, ″I really just danced. Lee Sang-hwa even paid for the honeymoon, which I had already paid for.″

Shin Dong-yup jokingly asked, ″Kangnam, did you really marry Sang-hwa for her money?″ Kangnam waved his hands and stood up, forming an X-shape with his arms to deny the claim, saying, ″No, it happened by accident. I’m really sorry.″

Shin Dong-yup mentioned that Kangnam decided to marry Lee Sang-hwa after seeing her back muscles on ″Law of the Jungle.″ Kangnam confirmed this, explaining, ″I was there casually as a regular on ’Law of the Jungle.’ When the opening ceremony started, she walked past me.″ He added, ″Lee Sang-hwa was wearing a tank top, and her back muscles were impressive. You know the animation ’Hanma Baki,’ right? That’s what they call a goblin. I could see a goblin face on her back.″

Lee Sang-hwa smiled shyly, saying, ″It was right after, so my muscles looked pretty good.″ Kangnam joked, ″I really locked eyes with her because of those back muscles. And then, for some reason, I thought, ’I’m going to marry this person,’” clarifying, ″I didn’t marry Lee Sang-hwa because of her back muscles, but because of the person behind them. That’s how powerful her back was.″

Jung Ho-chul expressed curiosity, asking, ″Kangnam, didn’t you fall in love at first sight after seeing her back? What did you see, Sang-hwa?″ Lee Sang-hwa replied honestly, ″We went to Japan in December after we started dating. We were walking hand-in-hand under the bright lights, and suddenly, I thought, ’I think I’m going to marry you.’ I said, ’Huh? You too? Me too.’″
