The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on pediatric cancer, announced on the 12th that it received a donation of 10.04 million won from singer Yang Joon-il’s fan club, Panta Xi. This contribution was made in celebration of Yang Joon-il’s birthday on August 19th, with fans expressing their desire to ″give hope to sick children, just as Yang Joon-il has given us hope.″
Panta Xi’s donation will support the ″Dreams of Children with Cancer, First Outing with Family″ campaign, launched by the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation on Happy Bean. The funds will be used for art and outdoor experience programs for 450 children with cancer and their families, providing them with a special day outside the hospital after long hours spent in medical care.
Yang Joon-il has been actively pursuing his music career since his return, gaining renewed attention amidst the ″newtro″ trend. He is set to hold a solo concert titled ″Summer Vacation″ at the Gureumarae Small Theater in Hongdae, Seoul, on August 16th.
