
Singer Jeon Somi recently discussed her upcoming second EP, ″Chaotic & Confused,″ during an interview with TenAsia at a cafe in Yongsan-gu. She shared an intriguing behind-the-scenes story about her experience as an ″extra″ on MBC’s ″Surprise.″
Jeon Somi expressed her enthusiasm for the EP, describing it as ″my ambitious project.″ She recounted her efforts to find work as an extra, saying, ″I looked into every possible place. I even saw job postings, hoping to earn 100,000 won for a few hours, like ’Passerby 1.’″ She noted that the search was more challenging than she anticipated, which led her to choose ″Surprise″ despite considering various options.
Emphasizing her willingness to embrace challenges, Jeon Somi stated, ″I could say it’s not pretty, but there’s nothing I can’t do. If the song is good and I can make it enjoyable to watch, then that’s my path.″ She reflected on how these realizations have clarified her artistic journey, allowing her to let go of past attachments and feel a sense of renewal.
Her EP ″Chaotic & Confused″ features five tracks, including the title track ″CLOSER,″ along with the pre-released songs ″EXTRA,″ ″Excapade,″ ″DELU,″ and the titular track ″Chaotic & Confused.″ The title track ″CLOSER″ introduces a new genre called stutter house, creating a captivating and sensual atmosphere.
Jeon Somi’s second EP, ″Chaotic & Confused,″ is set to be released on various music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. on the 11th.
