Singer Lee Chan-won has donated the 1 million won prize he received from the July ″Good Star″ King of Mask Singer competition to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, thanks to the support of his fans. This donation will help cover the treatment costs for children battling cancer, leukemia, and rare, incurable diseases. The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation announced the donation on May 14th.

Lee Chan-won and his fans have a history of charitable contributions through ″Good Star.″ With this latest donation, his total contributions through the initiative have reached 68.87 million won. The funds will assist families facing the financial challenges of medical treatment, including hospitalization, surgeries, and medications.

Hong Seung-yoon, Executive Director of the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, praised the ongoing generosity of Lee Chan-won and his fans, calling it a vital source of hope and courage for children with cancer. He expressed hope that this positive influence would inspire even more people to contribute and thanked everyone for their continued support of children with cancer.

Established in 2001 and registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that undertakes various welfare projects. These include providing treatment and surgical support for children with cancer, emotional support programs, blood donation campaigns, and operating a shelter for children undergoing cancer treatment.

In addition to his charitable work, Lee Chan-won will appear as the MC of KBS 2TV’s regular program ″Secrets of Celebrity Soldiers,″ set to premiere on September 2nd.
