The singles special of ″Nasol Sa-gye″ has kicked off a ″dopamine-fueled″ romance. The latest episode of ENA and SBS Plus’ ″I’m Single, Then Love Continues″ featured a ″Self-Random Date″ segment followed by a ″Single Bed and Breakfast″ segment, which significantly altered the romantic dynamics among the single men. In this episode, Young-sik, a guest from the 10th season, greeted Guk-hwa with a casual ″See you later″ and even put his arm around her shoulder. Meanwhile, Gyeong-soo, a guest from the 14th season, appeared visibly downcast after his ″2:1 date″ with Dong-baek and Jang-mi.
As Guk-hwa and the other men, who were the two ″top picks,″ sat together in the shared living room, Young-sik complimented her, saying, ″She’s pretty.″ Gyeong-soo, feeling a bit bitter, mustered the courage to speak to Guk-hwa, stating, ″(22nd season’s) Young-sik is this.″ However, Young-sik interrupted their conversation with a casual remark, ″Hurry up and do the interview and wash up.″ He even disrupted the exchange between Gyeong-soo and Guk-hwa by stuffing a tangerine into her mouth. Gyeong-soo later expressed his irritation to the production team, saying, ″I got irritated because I kept getting cut off.″
After returning from a date with Young-soo from the 3rd season, Baek-hap entered the common room and remarked, ″I heard all the men don’t like short hair,″ revealing her frustration. Young-sik from the 22nd season then claimed, ″Out of the four women, you’re the prettiest.″ Young-sik from the 10th season playfully teased Guk-hwa, saying, ″All the men are destined to like you. Long live Guk-hwa!″ Gyeong-soo, looking exhausted, left for his room but soon returned to challenge Guk-hwa to a conversation.
Gyeong-soo asked Guk-hwa about her ideal type, to which she replied, ″Someone I can show everything I have to her.″ The two, who were teaching an aspiring flight attendant and a professional baseball player, respectively, found common ground in their careers and began to bond. Meanwhile, Young-sik from the 10th season subtly flirted, saying, ″Baek-hyeop, I chose you based on first impressions. You’re in second place.″ Baek-hyeop responded, ″I find it easier to talk to you than (3rd generation) Young-sik.″
As the atmosphere became more delicate, Guk-hwa returned to her seat, prompting Young-sik from the 10th season to quickly shift his focus, saying, ″Aren’t we losing Guk-hwa?″ Displeased, Young-sik commented to Guk-hwa about Young-sik’s ambivalence. He then entered the room where his rival Gyeong-soo was resting. Gyeong-soo declared, ″This is going to be a love triangle. I want a one-on-one date with Guk-hwa,″ adding to the tension.
On the morning of the second day, Gyeong-soo told Young-sik, ″It doesn’t matter when I’m talking, but please leave it alone when (22nd-generation) Young-sik hyung is talking.″ He then proposed a ″self-random date.″ The results of the ″self-random date″ paired 22nd-generation Young-sik with Jang-mi, 10th-generation Young-sik with Guk-hwa, 14th-generation Gyeong-soo with Dong-baek, and 3rd-generation Young-soo with Baek-hap. Gyeong-soo felt dejected after giving Guk-hwa to 10th-generation Young-sik again.
Shortly after, Gyeong-soo, who was leaving with Dong-baek, asked her how she resolved conflicts in relationships. Dong-baek replied, ″In the past, I held out until the end and received an apology, but now I let her repent.″ In an interview, Gyeong-soo, who felt a romantic connection with Dong-baek, said, ″It felt like my dead romantic cells were coming back to life.″ Dong-baek laughed, saying, ″After our conversation, I thought this person was better.″
Young-sik from the 22nd season expressed his displeasure to Jang-mi about the embarrassing incident of the ″two consecutive lonely meals″ on ″I’m Solo″ being brought up. Jang-mi then asked, ″Are you a sensitive person? If you date me, you’ll end up fighting, won’t you?″ This left Young-sik flustered. Later, Young-sik returned to his room and expressed his affection by giving Baek-hap the chocolate he had brought with him. Jang-mi was puzzled, asking, ″Why did you give it to Baek-hap?″
Young-sik had hinted at a gift the day before, telling Jang-mi to ″get ready.″ However, when the chocolate ended up going to Baek-hap, Jang-mi expressed her disappointment, asking, ″What did I do wrong?″ Meanwhile, in the communal living room, 10th-generation Young-sik encountered 14th-generation Gyeong-soo, leading to another tense exchange. When Guk-hwa appeared, Young-sik approached her, but Gyeong-soo, unwilling to yield, suggested they go for a walk.
When Gyeong-soo asked Guk-hwa how to resolve a fight between lovers, she replied, ″If you’re angry, hold it in and tell me later,″ which earned his approval. The single men’s date choices then took an unexpected turn. Young-soo from the 3rd generation gave Baek-hap a hangover cure in front of everyone before choosing Guk-hwa. Young-sik from the 10th generation, instead of choosing Guk-hwa, opted for Baek-hap, his second choice. After much deliberation, Gyeong-soo from the 14th generation chose Dong-baek, saying, ″I don’t want to make you eat a meal alone.″ Young-sik from the 22nd generation hesitated, asking, ″Do I really have to choose?″ before taking a seat next to Baek-hap.
Jang-mi, who had gone from being a ″popular girl with a good first impression″ to a ″zero vote girl,″ expressed her frustration, saying, ″I thought you wouldn’t eat the lonely meal, but it went downhill quickly. I thought there was a script.″ The trailer then teased a scene where Young-sik from the 10th generation was caught in a ″2:1 structure″ with Young-sik from the 22nd generation, and Guk-hwa called out to him, saying, ″If I were you, I think I would have done it appropriately.″ Additionally, Young-sik from the 10th generation confronted him, stating, ″I’m also someone who came to find a partner, so I’ll ’complain’,″ raising curiosity about next week’s episode.
