″Golden,″ the original soundtrack for the Netflix animated film ″K-Pop Demon Hunters,″ has regained the top position on the UK Official Singles Chart. The UK Official Chart Top 100, released on the 15th, shows that ″Golden″ has surpassed Chapel Lawn’s ″The Subway,″ which held the number one spot last week.

This achievement makes ″Golden″ the first K-pop song to top the UK Official Singles Chart for two non-consecutive weeks. The previous record was set by Psy’s ″Gangnam Style″ in 2012, which held the top position for just one week. ″Golden″ initially entered the chart at number 93 and climbed steadily to number 31, 20, 9, 4, and finally reached number 1, driven by the film’s popularity. Although it briefly dropped to number 2 last week, it has successfully returned to the top.

Official Charts noted that ″’Golden’ reclaimed the top spot, marking the highest-streaming week for an OST from ’K-Pop Demon Hunters.’″ The song is performed by the fictional K-Pop girl group Huntrix and features contributions from SM Entertainment trainee-turned-composer Lee Jae, as well as singers Audrey Noona and Lay Ami, all of whom are Korean-American.

In addition to its success in the UK, ″Golden″ also topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. This week, four songs from the ″K-Pop Demon Hunters″ OST made it onto the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100: ″Soda Pop″ at #6, ″Your Idol″ at #7, and ″Takedown″ at #35.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s ″JUMP″ climbed seven spots to No. 28, and Rosé’s ″APT.″ rose six places to No. 33.
