Yoo Seung-jun renounced his Korean citizenship in January 2002 after leaving the country for a performance just before his mandatory military service. This decision resulted in an entry ban due to charges of draft dodging, prompting him to file an administrative lawsuit against the government. Recently, when some fans appealed for a pardon, he clarified on the 13th, ″I have absolutely no desire to make money in Korea. I have no intention of receiving any benefits, nor do I desire them. I sought to enter the country to restore my reputation.″
