Moon Won, the fiancée of Koyote member Shinji, shared a statement on social media a day after initiating legal action against malicious commenters. On the 17th, he addressed misunderstandings, clarifying, ″I’m not suing Koyote’s seniors or the fans who care about Shinji.″
In detailing his lawsuit, Moon Won explained, ″I am only pursuing action against those who created malicious content, spread false information, and sent personal attacks or inappropriate comments about my family in private messages.″ He urged the public to avoid excessive speculation.
The day before, on the 16th, Moon Won expressed concern over the harmful spread of false information, stating, ″The widespread dissemination of malicious and untrue information is affecting many people. I will take legal action.″ He made this announcement through a statement from his legal representative, DLG Law Firm.
DLG Law Firm highlighted that since the news of Moon Won and Shinji’s engagement became public, false information has circulated widely across online communities, social media, and YouTube, accompanied by unfounded speculation and provocative content. They noted that some users have repeatedly sent abusive and threatening messages to Moon Won’s personal social media account, causing significant psychological distress.
On August 5, 2025, DLG Law Firm filed a criminal complaint on behalf of Moon Won against certain individuals responsible for the damaging content. They issued a warning regarding the comments that have fueled these malicious rumors.
Moon Won has reportedly experienced psychological distress following the announcement of his engagement to Shinji last month. His recent post seems aimed at addressing the malicious commenters, rather than taking legal action against Shinji or other Koyote fans.
