Virtual idol group PLAVE is collaborating with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to launch a drug prevention campaign. Their agency, Blast, announced that PLAVE will produce and release a campaign video titled ″There’s No Justification for Drugs,″ specifically targeting young adults.
In this initiative, PLAVE aims to convey a supportive message: ″If you’re going through a difficult time, we hope our songs will offer a small comfort. Don’t make bad choices, and let’s overcome this together.″ With drug-related crimes increasing among younger generations, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is actively seeking effective ways to communicate prevention messages. PLAVE was chosen to lead the campaign due to their warm and genuine approach.
The campaign encourages direct fan participation. PLAVE’s fandom, known as ″Plea,″ will help spread the drug prevention message through various interactive online activities, such as ″SNS hashtag authentication″ and ″support message relay.″ The phrase ″There’s No Justification for Drugs″ will be integrated into peer culture and daily life, contributing to the creation of a safe, drug-free city.
The campaign video was released on the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s YouTube channel and will also be showcased on approximately 120 digital billboards across Seoul, including locations like the Gangnam-daero Media Pole and K-POP Square Artium. Additionally, the campaign will be promoted through various channels, including public bulletin boards, city buses, apartment TVs, and social media.
PLAVE was recently appointed as the ambassador for ″2025 Startup Seoul″ and has successfully completed its first Asia tour concert in Seoul, now embarking on a full-scale tour. This campaign reflects PLAVE’s commitment to social responsibility and their dedication to fostering a safe environment for youth and young adults.
