BTS member V recently shared his thoughts and experiences regarding his solo career in a video posted on the ″W KOREA″ channel on August 24th. During a Q&A interview conducted while on a photo shoot, V opened up about his current emotions and interests.
Discussing his solo debut, V mentioned the challenges he faced with standard jazz, stating, ″It was difficult to go with standard jazz, so I tried to make the song more accessible. It’s music that’s great to listen to while driving home from work at sunset.″ He expressed a desire to adopt a more mainstream approach to his musical style.
V also reflected on his individuality, saying, ″This time, I don’t seem to have the unique style of BTS V. I think that’s something special for me. As a group, V really shines, but as an individual, I wanted to show a different side of myself, so I prepared a variety of looks.″ This indicates a shift in his artistic direction as he embarks on his solo journey.
Expressing gratitude towards his fellow BTS members, V remarked, ″Now that I’m preparing my solo album, I can see how much the members have worked hard. It’s not easy. But I think the difficulty is actually what makes it fun. I can approach it in a fresh, new, and diverse way, so if people like it, I feel like I can sleep soundly.″ This highlights his strong bond with the group and his awareness of the challenges that come with solo activities.
When asked about his latest indulgence, V shared, ″It’s still in the auction phase, so I’m still determining the price, but I’m looking for a Cartier Crash watch. It’s a total flex. But there’s a chance I won’t be able to get it, so I’m working hard.″ The Cartier Crash watch he mentioned previously sold for $225,000, or approximately 245 million won, at an auction in 2020, showcasing his interest in luxury items.
Through his solo career, V is exploring new musical styles and aims to present a different side of himself compared to his group activities. With the support of his BTS members, he continues his musical journey, and fans are likely to respond positively to his evolving artistry.
