[The Fact | Reporter Choi Hyun-jung] Group NMIXX has released a new song featuring a world-renowned drag queen.
NMIXX released "MEXE," a collaboration with renowned Brazilian artist Pabllo Vittar, at 9 AM on the 22nd. Pablo Vittar is a Brazilian musician known for his work as a leading figure in local pop music and the first drag queen to win an MTV Europe Music Award (EMA).
"MEXE" harmoniously blends K-pop and Brazilian funk, featuring Latin-style choreography. Pabllo Vita, a longtime K-pop fan, has been a self-proclaimed NSWER (Nmixx's fandom name) in numerous interviews, and Nmixx has also expressed their admiration for him during their Latin American tour, making the collaboration between the two artists even more synergistic.
Nmixx commented on this collaboration, saying, "We feel like we've gotten closer to our goal of creating music that freely connects with the world. Collaborating with Pabllo Vita, who has such a free and vibrant energy, is a truly special experience for us." They continued, "When I first heard 'MEXE,' I thought our unique personalities perfectly matched. We learned a lot while recording and filming the music video together."
Meanwhile, Nmixx will be holding their first solo concert, three years and nine months after their debut, on November 29th and 30th.
