Singer Soyou has recently addressed rumors surrounding plastic surgery in a video posted on her YouTube channel, ″Soyougi.″ The video, released on the 21st, features behind-the-scenes footage from her performances in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Manila, Philippines. It showcases her preparations for these overseas shows, including packing and her daily routine before taking the stage.
In the video, Soyou reflects on a photo of herself from seven years ago, noting, ″I was young. I didn’t wear any makeup because it was a bare-faced photoshoot.″ She then tackled the plastic surgery rumors directly, sharing that her makeup team felt pressured by the speculation. She recounted, ″Even though I already have an epicanthoplasty, a few days ago, they asked, ’Should I put highlighter on my nose? Should I not get an epicanthoplasty?’ I told them, ’No, just do what you’ve always done. It’s okay.’″
Soyou’s onstage presence was captivating, and her stylist was pleased with the final look. She humorously remarked, ″The camera captures the eyes of the staff members. When I’m feeling well, they look at me with love. When the clown comes up, our staff members are honest. They don’t say anything when I’m not looking pretty.″ The staff responded with laughter, saying it was ″for fear of being hurt.″
Recently, Soyou revealed that she had lost 10kg, which fueled further speculation about plastic surgery among her fans. However, she took the opportunity to clarify these rumors, effectively addressing any misunderstandings. Her candid remarks not only dispelled the plastic surgery rumors but also enhanced her connection with her audience.
