
In August 2025, a big data analysis of trot singer brand reputation revealed that Lim Young-woong secured the top position. The Korea Enterprise Reputation Research Institute examined over 53 million pieces of data related to trot singer brands from July 24 to August 24, 2025, calculating the brand reputation index based on consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement. This marks a 1.44% increase from the previous month’s data.
The brand reputation index serves as a reflection of consumer online behavior and its influence on brand consumption, taking into account both positive and negative reviews, media interest, and consumer engagement. The ranking also incorporates a recommendation index weighted into the algorithm. The top 30 trot singer brand reputation rankings for August 2025 included Lim Young-woong, Kim Yong-bin, Park Seo-jin, Park Ji-hyun, Lee Chan-won, Jeong Dong-won, Young Tak, Song Ga-in, Jeon Yu-jin, Son Tae-jin, Ahn Sung-hoon, Jin Seong, Jang Yoon-jeong, Na Hoon-a, Jin Hae-seong, Seol Woon-do, Kim Yeon-ja, Hong Ja, Shin Yu, Tae Jin-ah, Yang Ji-eun, Oh Yu-jin, Kim Hee-jae, Kang Moon-kyung, Nam Jin, Kim Tae-yeon, Son Bin-ah, Mai Jin, Jang Min-ho, and Kim So-yeon.
Lim Young-woong achieved a brand reputation index of 7,317,285, which includes a participation index of 1,205,574, a media index of 1,307,555, a communication index of 2,257,760, and a community index of 2,546,396. This represents a significant 24.11% increase from July’s index of 5,895,866.
In second place, Kim Yong-bin recorded a brand reputation index of 2,660,596, with a participation index of 291,546, a media index of 549,717, a communication index of 1,079,350, and a community index of 739,983, reflecting a 5.12% increase from July’s 2,531,057.
Park Seo-jin ranked third with a brand reputation index of 1,720,440. His participation index was 299,996, media index was 737,774, communication index was 356,614, and community index was 326,055, showing a slight 1.68% decrease from July’s 1,749,874.
Park Ji-hyun came in fourth with a brand reputation index of 1,681,607, which includes a participation index of 402,630, a media index of 252,177, an interaction index of 542,096, and a community index of 484,704, marking a 2.80% decrease from July’s 1,730,023.
Lee Chan-won rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 1,463,414, comprising a participation index of 276,413, a media index of 431,276, an interaction index of 407,492, and a community index of 348,233, reflecting a notable 31.28% decrease from July’s 2,129,624.
Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, noted that Lim Young-woong’s brand ranked first. The analysis of the trot brand category indicated a 1.44% increase in brand big data compared to July. A closer look revealed a 2.61% rise in brand consumption, a 4.39% decline in brand issues, a 16.18% increase in brand communication, and a 3.54% decrease in brand diffusion.
In further analysis, Koo highlighted that the Lim Young-woong brand scored highly on terms such as ″reveal,″ ″listen,″ and ″donate.″ Keyword analysis pointed to ″Heroes,″ ″Immortal Songs,″ and ″2nd regular album″ as significant topics. Notably, a positivity/negativity analysis showed an impressive 94.32% positive response rate.
