Kim Byung-man introduced his wife and two children for the first time on the TV Chosun show ″Joseon’s Lovers,″ which aired on the 25th. Ahead of his upcoming wedding in September, he shared details about his family while at a cafe in Jeju Island. Kim explained, ″I decorated it all myself. I wanted to create a space in Korea that reflects my jungle adventures. Jeju Island has the perfect climate.″ He showcased his new home, revealing that he designed the space during his move.

Addressing his reduced television appearances, Kim clarified, ″Many people think I’m reflecting on myself because I haven’t been on TV for so long, but that’s not the case. I’ve been recovering, recharging, and preparing for a fresh start, so this is my first comeback in a while.″ He expressed excitement about his new beginning in September, stating, ″In a way, I feel very excited. I feel like I’m receiving care, which brings me a lot of mental stability.″

Kim shared that he has a son and a daughter, saying, ″I have two.″ He humorously added, ″A female Kim Byung-man and a male Kim Byung-man. Just looking at them brings tears to my eyes.″ Reflecting on his journey, he noted that while he once considered giving up, his children motivated him to persevere. Kim remarked, ″If I used to dream of becoming the godfather of comedy, now my dream is to build a happy family and create a home I want to live in as soon as possible.″

He described his children’s vibrant personalities, saying, ″So this is who I’ve always been.″ He affectionately referred to them as ″Jjangi″ and ″Ddok-i,″ noting their resemblance to him. Choi Sung-guk expressed surprise at how much Kim Byung-man looks like his children, while Hwang Bo-ra and Kim Ji-min playfully argued that the children resemble their mother.

Kim also praised his wife’s beauty as she shyly introduced herself on camera, saying, ″I’m Hyun Eun-jae, Kim Byung-man’s wife.″ He was seen joyfully playing with his children and managing his medication. Kim recounted their relationship, revealing, ″We first met in May 2006, and around the end of 2007, we went our separate ways. After a dozen years, we reconnected.″

His wife shared that she was unaware of Kim’s comedian status when they first met. They were introduced through a mutual acquaintance and even discussed marriage later on. She explained, ″We didn’t break up just because we said ’we broke up,’ but because we were both busy with our work.″ Kim added, ″My mother suddenly said, as if it were breaking news, ’Hey, you’re the only one who can meet him.’″

His wife revealed that they were both facing challenges when Kim’s mother reached out to her. She recalled, ″My mother told me, ’Look at me and meet my brother.’″ When they reunited, Kim expressed, ″Honestly, I just wanted to hug her. I was going through so much emotional pain.″ He described her as ″the one and only woman in the world,″ stating, ″I feel like I went through all this to meet her.″

Kim Byung-man conveyed his deep affection for his wife, emphasizing, ″She’s the home I want to be in. She’s filled with the things I love.″
