BOYNEXTDOOR continues to dominate the Japanese Oricon charts. The Oricon charts released on the 24th reveal that ″Count To Love,″ the title track of BOYNEXTDOOR’s second Japanese single ″BOYLIFE,″ topped the ″Daily Single Ranking″ for the 23rd. The song maintained its number one position for two consecutive days after its debut and reclaimed the top spot on the 22nd, signaling its potential for long-term success.
The music video for ″Count To Love″ is also gaining considerable traction. From its release until the 24th, it ranked on YouTube’s ″Top Rising Music Videos″ in both Korea and Japan, and it topped iTunes’ ″Top Videos″ on August 18th and Line Music’s ″Daily Music Video Top 100″ on August 19th. In the music video, the six members take on the roles of hosts in a fictional dating show, navigating various humorous challenges to bring a couple together.
″BOYLIFE″ is an album that encapsulates the love, bold charm, and unrestrained confidence of youth. It captures emotions that resonate with many, told through BOYNEXTDOOR’s unique narrative style. Alongside the original Japanese title track ″Count To Love,″ the album features four additional tracks: ″I Feel Good,″ ″Nice Guy,″ and Japanese versions of ″Parents Not Allowed,″ which was released in Korea. ″Count To Love″ cleverly likens the act of counting numbers to playful complaints directed at a loved one. BOYNEXTDOOR’s signature lively lyrics, paired with an upbeat melody, encourage repeated listening, while Taesan’s contributions to the lyrics and composition enhance the group’s distinctive style.
BOYNEXTDOOR is set to perform their new song on TBS’s ″CDTV LIVE! LIVE!″ on September 1st. They will also appear on TV Asahi’s ″M:ZINE″ for a three-week special broadcast from September 5th to 19th, aiming to solidify their presence in the Japanese market.
