Actress Go Hyun-jung candidly shared her feelings about her experience of getting divorced at a young age. On August 26, Go Hyun-jung appeared on the YouTube channel TEO's Jang Do-yeon talk show "Salon Drip 2" and said, "I had two children and got divorced at the young age of 32." Reflecting on herself at the time, she said, "I thought I was very old and had been through everything."

Go Hyun-jung described her personality as "extremely introverted, so it was difficult when others came too close." She mentioned that in a person's life, there are always ups and downs, saying, "When I was doing well, people who came close would disappear when I went down a bit, but then come back again when I rose." Because of these experiences, she confessed that she became hesitant even toward people who liked her.

About her past self, she said, "I think I acted as if I knew everything," and revealed, "After going through a serious illness about five years ago, I changed. I decided to be sincere and meet people as I am, without stressing too much."

She also spoke about her family's reaction after the divorce. Go Hyun-jung said, "My parents are both still together, and my younger sibling is married, so I guess they feel sorry that I'm the only one alone." She added with a smile, "I actually feel more sorry for my parents. I hope they live well without fighting. Whenever they argue a little, they tell me to get a divorce. When I say it's too cruel to badmouth my husband, they stop."

Go Hyun-jung married Jung Yong-jin, chairman of the Shinsegae Group, in 1995 and divorced after eight years in 2003. They have one son and one daughter. Her experience with divorce shows that it was an important turning point in living a mature life.
