BTS ranks first in singer brand reputation for August... Lim Young-woong and BLACKPINK show strong performance


The group BTS ranked first in the singer brand reputation in August 2025. The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced the results of analyzing 104,183,204 pieces of singer brand big data from July 23, 2025, to August 23, 2025. This analysis was conducted based on consumer brand participation, media, communication, and community. Compared to the 115,695,094 pieces of singer brand big data in July, this is a decrease of 9.95%.

The singer brand reputation index extracts big data of singer brands presenting beloved music to consumers and analyzes consumer behavior, classifying it into participation value, communication value, media value, and community value. Additionally, the index is calculated through positive and negative ratio analysis and reputation analysis algorithms. This allows understanding who, where, how, how much, and why people talk about the brand.

The top 30 singer brand reputation rankings for August 2025 were analyzed as follows: BTS, Lim Young-woong, BLACKPINK, PSY, IVE, Kim Yong-bin, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, Red Velvet, DAY6, Car, the Garden, Park Seo-jin, aespa, Park Ji-hyun, ITZY, Aileit, BIGBANG, Lee Chan-won, Jo Jazz, Kiki, Young Tak, Hearts to Hearts, fromis_9, BIBI, (G)I-DLE, Jung Dong-won, Park Jin-young, EXO, VIBE, and Cho Yong-pil.

Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "As a result of the August 2025 brand big data analysis, the BTS (RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) brand ranked first." Director Koo added, "Analyzing the singer brand category, compared to the 115,695,094 pieces of singer brand big data in July, there was a 9.95% decrease." According to detailed analysis, brand consumption fell by 6.31%, brand issues decreased by 9.22%, brand communication dropped by 10.81%, and brand diffusion declined by 11.45%.

Director Koo explained, "With the strong support of global ARMYs, BTS maintained the number one brand while continuing individual activities and preparing for group activities." He continued, "Lim Young-woong's brand ranked second by building positive influence and category leadership based on a solid fandom community." He also reported, "BLACKPINK, with their world tour concerts and upcoming new album, took third place."

PSY ranked fourth as a brand that became the icon of summer festivals with his 'Hmph Show,' and IVE ranked fifth, growing influence in various fields with their unique charm. These analysis results clearly show each singer's brand value and consumer response.

Singer brand reputation is an important indicator formed through communication with consumers, reflecting each artist's activities and fandom influence. BTS maintains continuous popularity based on a global fan base, and Lim Young-woong and BLACKPINK also occupy top positions based on strong fandoms.

This analysis can be used as important data to understand the market position and consumer perception of singer brands. Brand reputation is expected to contribute to future artist activity directions and marketing strategy development.
