Sunny, a member of Girls' Generation, recently appeared on the YouTube channel 'Playlife' to share her feelings and announce a new beginning. On the occasion of Girls' Generation's 18th anniversary, Sunny said, "The number 18 still doesn't quite sink in. I can't say I made it entirely on my own, so I feel nothing but gratitude."
Sunny expressed her thanks to everyone who made Girls' Generation possible, saying, "The most important thing is that the fans stayed and waited, and thanks to that, this time feels like a stroke of luck." She mentioned that she is communicating with the members about the 20th anniversary and added, "I'm glad we can talk about the present and the future together."
Additionally, Sunny revealed that she will be working as a producer at A20 Entertainment. Joining the company founded by former SM Entertainment executive producer Lee Soo-man, Sunny said, "I didn't dream of becoming a producer from the start." She explained, "I first studied psychology to love and protect myself more. I tried to understand why I felt anxious and took care of myself."
She confessed, "While studying, a good opportunity came along, and the company asked me to work together, so I joined." Sunny emphasized, "Seeing the bright and sparkling heart and eyes at the start, I realized that this work should not only be enjoyable for the audience and fans but also for those who do the work."
Sunny expressed her desire to maintain healthy values as a producer. Reflecting on changes in her values from past to present, she revealed, "I used to want to be someone who looked good and impressive. So there was a gap between ideals and reality." She also said, "I lacked confidence and was always anxious. I practiced accepting myself as I am."
Mentioning that fans' support was a great strength, she said, "Studying helped, but the fans really helped a lot." Sunny said she would like to tell her past self, "You can be your natural self." She emphasized that happy people who can love themselves naturally receive love.
Regarding her future plans, Sunny said, "Fans might feel anxious thinking they might not see me as much when they hear I'm taking on new challenges." She added, "But I think what I'm challenging myself with is an extension of my work. It might be an opportunity to see more of Girls' Generation's Sunny and myself than before."
Sunny urged fans not to worry and conveyed a positive message about her future activities. Her new beginning and determination hold great significance for Girls' Generation fans.
