Brad Pitt's 'F1 The Movie' Continues Strong at the Box Office on Day 60

Despite the competition between theaters and OTT platforms, the movie "F1 The Movie" continues to attract audience attention. Even 60 days after its release, the film maintains a top position at the box office and continues to perform well. "F1 The Movie" tells the story of veteran driver Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) joining the lowest-ranked team and racing alongside a rookie driver. Brad Pitt's starring role has drawn significant attention, and the film was completed through the collaboration of director Joseph Kosinski and composer Hans Zimmer.

Since its domestic release on June 25, "F1 The Movie" has recorded a cumulative audience of 4,589,042. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office system, on the 27th, it attracted 43,317 viewers, ranking third at the box office. This film is the highest-grossing work of the year and set the biggest opening record among Hollywood original live-action films released in the past five years.

The movie is re-released in IMAX and has earned nearly $600 million at the global box office. It is the highest-grossing film starring Brad Pitt, receiving positive reviews with a CinemaScore grade of A and a 97% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Streaming services have also started on IPTV and OTT platforms, and it ranked first with a 29% market share on the online screening integrated system.

The car action scenes in "F1 The Movie" are very popular with audiences. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer said, "Director Joseph Kosinski wanted to bring out reality and create the best racing movie on earth." Brad Pitt and Damson Idris performed high-speed driving exceeding 300 km/h on actual circuits, maximizing vividness and realism.

The film is not just a simple racing movie but authentically portrays the growth story of the lowest-ranked F1 team, enhancing the completeness of the plot. The APXGP team, which undergoes change with Sonny Hayes' arrival, becomes a united team through fierce competition with rookie driver Joshua Pearce. The film delicately captures the emotional flow between characters, effectively portraying conflicts and cooperation among team members, as well as the transitions from frustration and overcoming challenges to building trust.

Additionally, Kate (Kerry Condon), the technical director of the struggling APXGP team, overcomes the team's crisis alongside veteran driver Sonny Hayes, leading to a rational attraction between the two. Their love line balances the tension and emotion of the story, captivating the audience's hearts.

"F1 The Movie" is available nationwide in theaters and on OTT platforms, and will also be offered as premium VOD on Apple TV+ starting September 5. This film has established itself as a must-watch work in theaters.
