A final couple was formed in the third season of "Seeking an Old Encounter." On the 1st, the final choice of the third season's journey of fate was revealed on the simultaneously concluding broadcasts of "Seeking an Old Encounter" (hereafter "SOE") on KBS Joy, KBS2, and GTV. While no couples were formed in season 2, this third season drew attention by producing two couples.

Park Kwang-jae expressed deep regret for not being able to express his feelings during his appearance in season 2. He stated, "I tried not to have any regrets by appearing in season 3." Park Kwang-jae confessed to Hong-ja, "I liked you from the first impression, and there wasn't a single thing I disliked about you." Hong-ja also chose Park Kwang-jae, mentioning his charm by saying, "I felt comfortable when we were together, and time seemed to fly by."

Song Byung-chul said he wanted to find someone to share hobbies with through "SOE." He chose Hwang-bo, explaining, "I felt comfortable talking with her, and I think there will be many fun things to do together." Hwang-bo, after deliberating between Song Byung-chul and Lee Kyu-han, chose Song Byung-chul. She emphasized, "I think we shouldn't forget the feelings from our first meeting. The person I want to get to know better is Byung-chul."

Lee Kyu-han was chosen by Solbi but did not light the candle of fate. He said, "I entered 'SOE' with an empty space in my heart, but the season 3 members filled that emptiness." Lee Kyu-han explained that he did not light the candle because he felt burdened by the possibility that his choice could cause unnecessary hurt to the members.

Lee Kyeon opened up about his feelings for Hong-ja but gave up on the final choice as Park Kwang-jae and Hong-ja became a couple. Jang So-yeon lit Park Kwang-jae's candle even though he was paired with Hong-ja. Jang So-yeon expressed her wish to continue their connection as friends, saying, "Being friends also means a lot to me."

The after-dates of the couples Hong-ja and Park Kwang-jae, and Hwang-bo and Song Byung-chul were also revealed. Park Kwang-jae visited the trot musical theater where Hong-ja was performing, delivering a bouquet and gifts to support her. After the performance, the two met again at a popular pork belly restaurant, where Park Kwang-jae expressed his affection, saying, "I only had eyes for Hong-ja." He then warmly mentioned wanting to visit Dongmyo, Hong-ja's favorite place, together.

Hwang-bo and Song Byung-chul enjoyed a date at an indoor fishing spot. The couple chemistry between veteran angler Song Byung-chul and fishing novice Hwang-bo brought smiles to viewers. Captivated by the thrilling sensation of fishing, Hwang-bo naturally initiated a couple role-play by saying to Song Byung-chul, "Oppa, let's do this again next week," which caused laughter. After fishing, the two made memories at an instant photo booth and promised to have another date.

"SOE" is a romantic reality program where single celebrities, who seemed like they could survive alone on a deserted island, reflect on fleeting encounters in their daily lives and seek true connections they had not yet realized. The show has been loved by the public from season 1 through season 3.
