On September 4th, Jang posted a photo with a black background accompanied by the phrase "20250904. Sung-kyu, don't forget today." The post was made without any additional explanation, prompting reactions such as "What is this?" and "Why are you like this? It's worrying."

One netizen mentioned the first anniversary of the late MBC weathercaster Oh Yo-anna, who was known to be close to Jang. However, the deceased's date of death was September 15th last year, leading netizens to speculate that there might be another reason behind Jang's post. In September last year, Jang was embroiled in allegations of having neglected to prevent workplace harassment against the late Oh Yo-anna.

The YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' released a recorded phone call with an MBC official at the time. The recording included claims that Kim Ga-young had caused discord involving Jang Sung-kyu. Additionally, JTBC's 'Case Judge' revealed that Jang's name was mentioned in a group chat among four MBC weathercasters. As a result, some netizens directed criticism at Jang on his social media. In February this year, Jang explained his relationship with the deceased on his SNS, saying, "Originally, I intended to make a statement after the deceased and their bereaved family found peace, but the family felt sorry that I was suffering secondary harm and encouraged me to actively clarify the situation." He revealed, "I first met the late Oh Yo-anna three years ago, and when she greeted me, she introduced herself as 'Kim Ga-young caster's junior.'"

Jang said, "Kim Ga-young caster cared for and looked after her, and she regarded her as a role model." After hearing about concerns related to 'You Quiz,' Jang encouraged the deceased, saying, "It's likely difficulties stem from jealousy and envy around you, so don't worry and overcome it." However, Oh Yo-anna confided in Jang again about her troubles, and Jang proposed to Kim Ga-young, "Let's help her," but Kim replied, "It's difficult due to work circumstances." Jang said, "I sensed that their relationship had changed from before."
