Band DAY6 has signed a full renewal contract to mark their 10th anniversary since debut. On the 5th, JYP Entertainment announced, "DAY6 has once again renewed their contract ahead of their 10th anniversary on September 7." This renewal signifies a continued partnership based on the long-standing trust between DAY6 and JYP. JYP added, "We will continue to provide full support and encouragement for Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, Dowoon, and the fans who cheer for them toward a brighter future."

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, DAY6 will release a new full-length album titled The Decade. This album is their fourth full-length release, coming approximately 5 years and 11 months after their third album, The Book of Us: Entropy, which was released on October 22, 2019. The album title is derived from the English word meaning ten years. The Decade includes a total of 10 tracks, featuring double title tracks "Inside Out" and "Dreams Bus." The tracklist also includes "Please Don't Go," "Disco Day," "My Way," "In Front of the Stars," "Take All My Heart," "Fly! Dream Rider," "Finally Ending," and "Our Season."

Ahead of the new album release, the members shared their thoughts. Sungjin said, "I am simply grateful to still be making music on our 10th anniversary. This album will be remembered by me as a 'special album commemorating the 10th anniversary' for a long time." Young K stated, "This is an opportunity to look back on the past 10 years and at the same time feel like a new chapter is beginning. I am thankful to everyone who has run alongside us so far and feel a deep affection. I also look forward to the time ahead."

Wonpil expressed, "The day of our 10th anniversary has come to us too. I used to think it was a distant future, but I am truly grateful and happy to be able to celebrate the 10th anniversary with the hyungs and Dowoon." Dowoon said, "For me, this album will be remembered as a party with the hyungs and our My Day after 10 years."

Recently, DAY6 held a massive concert at Goyang Sports Complex, becoming the first K-band to perform at a stadium venue. Sungjin shared, "It's a little different from the dream we had 10 years ago, but whether the scale is big or small, I realized how difficult it is to happily make music with the people you are with. Thank you for all the hard work so far, and let's keep working hard going forward." Wonpil said, "I think the me from 10 years ago dreamed of this moment. The present where our music is recognized and loved." He added, "It's amazing and I'm grateful that the images I kept drawing in my mind are now facing me as reality."
