Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, announced on the 4th, "BTS's 'Dynamite' music video, released on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel on August 21, 2020, surpassed 2 billion views at approximately 9:16 a.m. on the 4th."
"Dynamite" is the first BTS music video to surpass 2 billion views. The video added 100 million views approximately nine months after reaching 1.9 billion views in December of last year.
"Dynamite" is a bright and upbeat disco-pop healing song, marking BTS's first English-language release. The music video combines an addictive rhythm with a cheerful and dynamic performance. Produced with a lively concept that captures the song's bright atmosphere, it remains beloved by all generations.
Furthermore, "Dynamite" recently ranked 34th on Apple Music's list of "Most Streamed Songs of the Past 10 Years" released by the global music streaming service. Along with "Butter," this song is the only K-pop group to appear on the chart, further proving BTS's prowess.
With "Dynamite," BTS achieved a monumental milestone in K-pop history. The song became the first Korean artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard's main song chart, the "Hot 100," and held the top spot for three weeks.
