Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee captivate viewers with romance... 'My Youth' premieres with ratings in the 2% range

The JTBC Friday series "My Youth," starring actors Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee, started with ratings in the 2% range. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of "My Youth," which aired on the 5th, recorded a rating of 2.9%, and the second episode had a rating of 2.8%. These figures are lower compared to the previous series "The Good Detective," which had ratings of 3.0% for the first episode and 3.2% for the second.

"My Youth" depicts the emotional romance between Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong-ki), who began an ordinary life later than others, and Sung Jae-yeon (Chun Woo-hee), who unexpectedly has to break the peace of her first love. Song Joong-ki returns to the romance genre for the first time in nine years since the drama "Descendants of the Sun."

Episodes 1 and 2 portrayed the chaotic daily lives of Sunwoo Hae and Sung Jae-yeon, whose lives changed after reuniting with their first love. Their daily lives contain hidden, tender, and bittersweet memories of first love, providing emotional resonance to viewers.

Although the drama's initial ratings did not meet expectations, the acting skills of Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee have received positive reviews. Song Joong-ki exudes mature charm through his role as the protagonist Sunwoo Hae, while Chun Woo-hee expresses deep emotions in her role as Sung Jae-yeon.

The production team stated that "My Youth" contains stories that viewers can relate to. The drama centers on the bittersweetness of first love and the conflicts experienced during the process of growing up.

Attention is focused on how the relationship between Sunwoo Hae and Sung Jae-yeon will develop in upcoming episodes. In particular, curiosity is growing about how the emotional lines of the two main characters will change.

The drama's background and setting reflect various issues in modern society. The protagonists show growth through the difficulties and worries they face in their respective lives. In this regard, "My Youth" is not just a simple romance drama but a work that highlights various aspects of life.

The production team said about the future development, "We will sincerely portray the protagonists' conflicts, reconciliation, and the process of love." Viewers are expected to have an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and emotions through their stories.

"My Youth" airs every Friday and requires continuous interest from viewers. The drama's future development and whether its ratings will rise depend on upcoming broadcasts.
