
KATSEYE's reverse surge continues. Their song "Gabriela" has been climbing for five consecutive weeks on the UK Official Singles Top 100, following its appearance on the US Billboard Hot 100, approaching the group's highest ranking. According to the UK Official Chart released on the 5th, "Gabriela," a track from KATSEYE's second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, ranked 46th on the Official Singles Top 100. The song debuted at 42nd place in its first week, marking the group's highest chart position.
Afterwards, "Gabriela" placed 65th, 87th, and 83rd before briefly dropping out and re-entering at 97th. The following week, it rose 20 spots to 77th, regaining popularity. It then climbed to 61st, 53rd, and this week reached 46th. This upward trend is notable about two and a half months after the song's release.
KATSEYE's popularity continues on the world's largest music streaming platform, Spotify. According to the Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global chart updated on the 5th, three of KATSEYE's songs are ranked: "Gabriela" at 28th, "Gnarly" at 87th, and "Touch" at 174th.
KATSEYE's performances at Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic 2025 have attracted attention, and their appearance in the GAP advertising campaign is also receiving significant focus. Not only their new songs but also tracks from their debut album are gaining popularity together.
On the 5th, KATSEYE continues the momentum by releasing BEAUTIFUL CHAOS: The Remixes. They collaborated with producer JULiA LEWiS, known for creative work spanning pop, hip-hop, Latin, and EDM genres, to remix "Gabriela" and the title track "Gameboy" from BEAUTIFUL CHAOS. The "Gabriela" remix features reggae rhythms and dreamy sounds, while "Gameboy" adds playful and rhythmic charm with retro video game sounds, mumbaton beats, and warm acoustic guitar. The release also includes Sped Up and Extended versions of both songs, as well as an Extended version of the hyperpop track "Gnarly."
KATSEYE is a group realizing the globalization of the K-pop methodology led by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk. They were formed through the global audition project Dream Academy, which attracted 120,000 applicants worldwide, and debuted in the US last June based on HYBE America's T&D system.
KATSEYE is scheduled to perform at the pre-show of the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards at UBS Arena in New York on the 7th. Starting in November, they will embark on their first North American solo tour, with all tickets already sold out. KATSEYE's upward momentum is expected to continue.
