The song entered the chart at No. 81, then rose to No. 23, No. 6, No. 4, and No. 2 before reaching No. 1. Although it briefly dropped to No. 2 behind Alex Warren's "Ordinary," it returned to the top spot, marking three consecutive weeks at No. 1. "Golden" has remained on the chart for 11 consecutive weeks, maintaining its presence.
"Golden" has held the No. 1 position for a non-consecutive four weeks, surpassing BTS's three-week No. 1 record with "Dynamite" in 2020. The only K-pop song to have maintained the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 longer than "Golden" is BTS's "Butter."
The Billboard Hot 100 chart ranks songs based on a combination of U.S. streaming data, radio airplay, and sales data. During the latest chart tracking period, "Golden" recorded 34.5 million streams, down 2% from the previous week. Meanwhile, radio airplay increased by 13% to 22.1 million, and sales rose by 4% to 9,000.
On the Streaming Songs chart, "Golden" has held the No. 1 position for seven weeks, and on the Radio Songs chart, it rose from No. 29 to No. 24. It also achieved No. 1 for two consecutive weeks on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Additionally, other OSTs from "K-Pop Demon Hunters," including "Your Idol," "Soda Pop," and "How It's Done," are also popular. These songs ranked No. 4, No. 5, and No. 9 respectively on the Hot 100. Having four songs simultaneously in the Top 10 is a first in the 67-year history of the chart, a record set by the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" soundtrack.
