HYBE's &TEAM to debut in Korea on October 28... Positioned at the center of K-pop

HYBE Global Group &TEAM will officially debut in South Korea on October 28. &TEAM is a nine-member group consisting of Uiju, Huma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, and Maki. They recently announced their entry into the K-pop scene with their first Korean mini-album "Back to Life" at a debut 3rd anniversary event. The event was broadcast live on YouTube, and the uploaded video recorded 200,000 views as of the 11th.

&TEAM's Korean debut news also attracted significant attention in Japan. It was featured as the main top news on Japan's largest portal site Yahoo Japan, and major local media outlets reported on it simultaneously. Japanese media described &TEAM's Korean debut as "the first step toward the global stage."

&TEAM has already achieved remarkable success in Japan. Their third single "Go in Blind," released last April, surpassed 1 million cumulative shipments and received a "Million" certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Additionally, their first Asia tour attracted about 100,000 spectators, and their solo concert at Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium was sold out. These achievements demonstrate &TEAM's rapid growth.

The group's recognition and fandom size in Japan raise expectations for their Korean debut. In the "K-pop & Global Group Survey" announced by Oricon last May, &TEAM ranked first with 37.5% awareness. They have appeared on Japanese broadcasts over 300 times, successfully gaining popularity.

As HYBE's first overseas localized group and with full support from Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, &TEAM's debut in Korea after debuting in Japan is drawing attention. Their Korean debut is not merely an extension of their activities in Japan but a symbolic event connecting &TEAM, which has rapidly grown under HYBE's "Multi-home, Multi-genre" strategy, to the global stage in earnest.

Music industry insiders in Korea, Japan, and beyond view &TEAM's challenge as a turning point that will once again prove the effectiveness of HYBE's global strategy. Through the "HYBE 2.0" strategy, HYBE has emphasized local label operations reflecting each country's culture and characteristics and market diversification through expansion into various genres. Chairman Bang Si-hyuk stated, "We must transplant the success methods of K-pop to other genres and regions to change the paradigm of the music industry."

Amid enthusiastic support from fans, &TEAM expressed, "We hope to convey &TEAM's charm to a wider world and farther places through our Korean debut. We want to share this journey with LUN?, our fandom." Their agency YX Labels said, "&TEAM is ready to show new possibilities in the K-pop scene based on their 'Wolf DNA,' a clear team identity, and communication with a global fandom."

&TEAM's Korean debut is expected to open new possibilities in the K-pop market. Building on their success in Japan, they plan to form a strong fan base in Korea as well. With HYBE's support, &TEAM is set to further solidify their position in the global music market.
