The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 64,448,201 pieces of boy group brand big data from August 13 to September 13, 2025, measuring participation index, media index, communication index, and community index based on consumer behavior. This is a 1.74% decrease compared to the 65,590,668 pieces of brand big data in August.
The brand reputation index reflects the impact of consumers' online behavior on brand consumption. The boy group brand reputation analysis measures positive and negative evaluations, media attention, consumer interest, and communication volume. Brand reputation recommendation data involving consumer participation is also weighted.
The top 30 boy groups in brand reputation for September 2025 were BTS, Seventeen, Stray Kids, SHINee, Big Bang, The Boyz, ENHYPEN, Zerobaseone, NCT, Super Junior, TO1, EXO, WINNER, INFINITE, BTOB, MONSTA X, ATEEZ, A9, ASTRO, Wanna One, TREASURE, TVXQ, RISE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Highlight, Boy Next Door, Shinhwa, 2PM, Even, and VIXX.
BTS recorded a participation index of 144,192, media index of 1,649,192, communication index of 3,352,605, and community index of 3,778,818, resulting in a brand reputation index of 8,924,807. This is a 0.70% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 8,863,047 in August.
Seventeen recorded a participation index of 117,615, media index of 818,112, communication index of 1,841,692, and community index of 2,192,075, resulting in a brand reputation index of 4,969,494. This is a 9.55% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 5,494,252 in August.
Stray Kids recorded a participation index of 172,072, media index of 1,466,561, communication index of 847,585, and community index of 841,755, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,327,973. This is a 97.64% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 1,683,872 in August.
SHINee recorded a participation index of 27,866, media index of 542,832, communication index of 955,697, and community index of 1,528,646, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,055,041. This is an 18.61% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 3,753,576 in August.
Big Bang recorded a participation index of 42,306, media index of 587,226, communication index of 903,823, and community index of 992,733, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,526,088. This is a 13.71% decrease compared to the brand reputation index of 2,927,292 in August.
Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, stated, "In the big data analysis of boy group brand reputation for September 2025, BTS ranked first. The boy group brand category decreased by 1.74% compared to the 65,590,668 pieces of boy group brand big data in August. Detailed analysis showed that brand consumption fell by 6.89%, brand issues rose by 0.43%, brand communication increased by 2.33%, and brand diffusion decreased by 5.72%."
He added, "In the link analysis of the BTS brand, 'record,' 'breakthrough,' and 'donate' were highly analyzed. In keyword analysis, 'complete group,' 'Dynamite,' and 'YouTube' were highly analyzed. In the positive-negative ratio analysis, the positive ratio was 92.46%. In the detailed analysis of BTS's brand reputation, brand consumption increased by 4.83%, brand issues increased by 13.26%, brand communication increased by 0.30%, and brand diffusion decreased by 3.77%."
