Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee start a sweet romance with their first kiss in 'My Youth'

In episodes 3 and 4 of JTBC's Friday series "My Youth," the protagonist Sunwoo Hae (played by Song Joong-ki) is shown approaching Seong Jeyeon (played by Chun Woo-hee). Sunwoo Hae decided to appear in a documentary to see Seong Jeyeon. In the process, he confronts a painful past that resurfaces. However, this time he is not alone. Seong Jeyeon's warm comfort supports him. Sunwoo Hae creates a new turning point in their relationship by confessing "feelings sent to a friend who has parted" and kissing her.

That day, Sunwoo Hae decided to shoot the documentary with Mo Taerin (played by Lee Joo-myung). However, the only person he was concerned about was not just Seong Jeyeon. Kim Pildu (played by Jin Kyung) worried that Mo Taerin would cause more issues, but the reason was his bad history with Sunwoo Hae. The only reason Sunwoo Hae decided to appear on the broadcast despite his past trauma was Seong Jeyeon. He gathered courage with the expectation that he could see Seong Jeyeon more through the filming.

However, during the broadcast filming, Sunwoo Hae felt anxious under the gaze of the camera and staff, which reminded him of wounds from his child actor days. Seong Jeyeon noticed Sunwoo Hae's change and became concerned about his worries. Sunwoo Hae tried to avoid the situation by saying he was just nervous. But when news of Sunwoo Hae's return to broadcasting was announced, videos from the past he wanted to erase began to resurface. Videos showing a young Sunwoo Hae alone at his mother's funeral, who had taken extreme measures after being involved in a fraud case, spread and sparked negative public opinion.

Young Sunwoo Hae could not shed tears at his mother's funeral. There was no one to comfort the wounds of the child left alone. Even as an adult, he struggled to bear that memory. The one who held onto him was Seong Jeyeon. Seong Jeyeon ran to Sunwoo Hae, hugged him tightly, and apologized. Sunwoo Hae asked, "Can't you just hug me one more time?" and Seong Jeyeon warmly embraced him. At this moment, Sunwoo Hae felt as if his childhood pain was being comforted.

Sunwoo Hae's child actor life was like a thread connecting his family. He won the youngest Best Actor award and succeeded in commercials and dramas, but his child star days were short. After being told to leave a sitcom he appeared in with Mo Taerin, and losing his mother due to a movie investment fraud, everything ended. Because of this, Sunwoo Hae realized early on the "comfort that comes from not trusting."

Sunwoo Hae was bothered by Seong Jeyeon avoiding him. Seong Jeyeon confessed that she felt guilty for dragging him into unnecessary matters. Sunwoo Hae said it was okay, but Seong Jeyeon felt heavy-hearted. While she understood why she had refused broadcast offers until now, she could not accept the reason Sunwoo Hae decided to appear in the documentary. Sunwoo Hae revealed the reason as "feelings sent to a friend who has parted."

Their relationship gradually grew closer. Sunwoo Hae told Seong Jeyeon, "If you don't like it, avoid me," and when Seong Jeyeon asked, "What if I don't dislike it?" Sunwoo Hae replied, "That's a relief," and kissed her. This kiss remained an important scene signaling the beginning of a change in their relationship.

Meanwhile, changes were also sensed between Mo Taerin and Kim Seokju (played by Seo Ji-hoon). Kim Seokju was shown smiling while thinking of Mo Taerin. This added curiosity to their relationship as well.

"My Youth" airs two consecutive episodes every Friday at 8:50 PM. This drama deals with the love and pain of the younger generation, evoking deep empathy from viewers.
