Ibuki, the leader of Osaka Ojo Gang, recently clarified the controversy. On the 12th, Ibuki posted on their SNS, "I sincerely apologize for causing great worry and concern due to the dispute with the concert organizer," and stated, "Ojo Gang was a family-like team I created, and I always wanted to protect and be with them."
Ibuki explained that in early August, the manager requested rehearsal fees from Root59 during contract negotiations. He said, "I received a promise that this would be reflected, but there was no response from the organizer," and claimed, "On August 26, Root59 suddenly sent me a document containing false claims. They threatened to make it public if I did not sign the contract within an hour."
Ibuki added, "I was also informed of the shocking fact that the other members had agreed, leaving me alone." He explained, "When I tried to confirm individually with the members, they demanded a group call, and a 6:1 dynamic had already formed. I was even told I was not qualified to be the leader."
Mentioning the issue of unpaid appearance fees, he emphasized, "Even before the final payment deadline, I asked the manager to transfer the money in advance, and I gave up additional compensation as the leader, agreeing that all members should be paid equally." Ibuki stated, "All payments, including appearance fees and prize money, have been completed."
Ibuki said, "My only wish is to protect Ojo Gang and have everyone perform on stage together," and revealed, "Even after the manager stepped down, problems with Root59 continued. My mental state exceeded its limits, and I was severely stressed, unable to endure the isolation created by Root59 and the pressure coming through the channel, leading me to be hospitalized at a mental clinic in Japan." He added that a doctor advised him not to contact Root59 or the members directly.
Osaka Ojo Gang won first place in Mnet's 'World of Street Woman Fighter 3,' which ended last July. Ibuki was scheduled to attend the nationwide tour 'The Real Stage' of Mnet's 'World of Street Woman Fighter 3' held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on the 6th and 7th but only six members excluding Ibuki appeared on stage.
The production company Root59 stated, "Ibuki reversed the agreement and notified us of their absence." On the same night, Ibuki claimed on SNS, "As an artist, I was forced into a one-sided contract without even having a voice," accusing the production company of abuse of power.
The production company countered, "Ojo Gang's manager demanded conditions not shared with the members and blocked the specification of the appearance fee contract," adding, "Repeated negotiations failed."
Ojo Gang members Ru, Hana, Kyoka, Juna, Minami, and Uwa stated through the official account, "Many problems occurred, such as appearance fees not being paid by the manager or amounts being handled opaquely. Even after the payment deadline passed, salaries were not paid, and no proper amounts were presented, with no responses to members' inquiries."
Ibuki apologized to the six members and said they would dismiss the manager, but the promise was not kept. This incident is expected to have a significant impact on Ojo Gang's future activities.
