Choi Si-hoon revealed his feelings about his wife Ailee's dangerous airplane accident. On September 13, in a video released on the YouTube channel 'Illine Marriage Diary,' Choi Si-hoon recalled the incident while accompanying Ailee on her schedule. In the video, Choi Si-hoon asked Ailee, "You went to South Africa for a few days, right?" Ailee replied, "It was originally 2 nights and 5 days, but it became 2 nights and 6 days." During the conversation, Choi Si-hoon explained the harrowing situation at the time, saying, "I really thought I was going to lose my wife. I almost lost her." Ailee revealed that the plane was supposed to land in Hong Kong but was unable to due to a typhoon. She said, "We circled in the sky about five times, and suddenly the fuel ran out."

Ailee said that after the plane made an emergency landing in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, she quickly purchased Wi-Fi and sent a message to Choi Si-hoon. She shared the messages exchanged with him at the time, explaining, "We lost contact for 30 minutes. The Wi-Fi was cut off because of the landing."
