Seventeen has started a new world tour to mark their 10th anniversary. The first concert, held on the 14th at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, featured nine members, with Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Woozi, and Hoshi absent due to military service. However, the remaining nine filled the gap with a variety of performances. During the concert, the members emphasized the team's unity by mentioning, "All 13 of us are creating this together."
This world tour is titled "Seventeen World Tour [NEW_] in Incheon" and met with approximately 54,000 fans. The members serving in the military watched the performance from the audience seats, drawing a warm response from fans. The concert began with a vehicle driven by Mingyu and Jun, followed by The8's runway opening performance.
The tracks "HBD" and "Thunder" from the 5th full album "Happy Birthday" elevated the concert's atmosphere to its peak. Seungkwan shared, "Today is the second day and the last performance. Looking at the sky, our symbolic colors, rose quartz and serenity, are with us." Dino said, "I'm happy to perform in Incheon after a long time." Dokyeom emphasized, "Since the concert is called 'NEW_,' it's different from the Seventeen concerts we've shown so far."
Seventeen performed the unit song "Network Love" by the four foreign members as a full group for the first time. This song was previously only performed via LED screens during the COVID-19 period, making this the first live stage in front of fans. The concert continued with nine unique solo stages showcasing each member's individuality. The 5th full album contains one song per member, and the nine members not currently serving in the military took turns presenting their own musical worlds.
Dino revealed a mature charm through "Trigger," and Jun displayed skilled charisma in "Gemini." Vernon started his stage with electric guitar playing and performed "Shining Star." Joshua conveyed the excitement of love with "Fortunate Change," while Dokyeom poured out happy energy with "Happy Virus." Seungkwan played the piano himself in "Raindrops," showing off his ballad sensibility.
The8 delivered a stylish performance with "Skyfall," and Mingyu showed confidence through "Shake It Off." Leader S.Coups exuded hip-hop energy with "Jungle." In the latter part, "Hot," "Highlight," "Rock," and "Hit" were performed consecutively, raising the audience's excitement. Especially during the "Rock With You" stage, each member showcased choreography using instrument movements.
Seventeen connected with fans through "Carat Time," continuing the emotional mood with "Eighteen," "Nineteen," and "20." The members rode a trolley around the audience, communicating closely with fans. In the ending remarks, Mingyu confessed, "There was pressure preparing the concert with just nine of us." Seungkwan added, "I thought we had to create the best stage even in the worst situations."
The concert did not feel lacking thanks to the outstanding abilities of each member. Main vocalists Dokyeom and Seungkwan anchored the stage with stable vocals. The racing drone camera captured the spectacular scenes, adding to the emotional impact.
Seventeen will continue their performances on the 27th and 28th at Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium. In October, they will hold nine concerts across five cities in the United States, followed by a dome tour in Japan planned for November and December.
