
Seungkwan, a member of the group Seventeen, has joined MBC's new program "Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung" as a manager. The program will premiere on September 28. Seungkwan takes on the role of manager for the volleyball team "Pilsung Wonder Dogs" in the show. He stated, "As a volleyball fan, I always wanted to do a program with player Kim Yeon-kyung someday, so it was amazing and an honor that it actually came true."
Regarding his role as a manager, Seungkwan said, "I think the biggest role is to help the players focus on the game and give them energy." Seungkwan explained the appeal of MBC's "Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung," saying, "Even if you don't know the rules well, volleyball is a sport that anyone can enjoy once they watch it." He highlighted the fighting spirit and passion of the underdog players, confident that these elements will attract viewers. Additionally, he personally hopes volleyball becomes more popular among the public.

As a tip for enjoying volleyball more, he suggested watching the games with family while ordering delicious food. Regarding his experience on-site as the manager of "Pilsung Wonder Dogs," Seungkwan explained, "I experienced volleyball very differently from just watching it as a fan." He expressed respect after closely observing the players' training and game preparations.
He also talked about the difference between his idol activities and his role as a manager. Seungkwan said, "At first, I was nervous and worried if I could do well, but I quickly adapted." He shared that the players and coaching staff initially found him difficult to approach, but gradually their relationship became comfortable. Seungkwan added that while serving as a manager, he also felt grateful to the managers of Seventeen.
