Ham Eun-jung revealed that she was injured during the filming of the drama "Queen's House." In a recent interview held at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Ham Eun-jung shared her thoughts on the conclusion of the KBS2 daily drama "Queen's House." She entered the entertainment industry as a child actress but debuted as an idol in 2009 with the group T-ara. Currently, she is focusing on her acting career and is challenging herself as the "queen of daily dramas" through this work.
"Queen's House" tells the story of a woman who believed in a perfect life but vows revenge after her life is completely taken away. The drama received much love, recording double-digit viewership ratings. Reflecting on completing the long 100-episode drama, Ham Eun-jung said, "Now that it's over, I really feel like I did a long drama." She added, "It was more event-driven than close to real life, so I used a lot of energy during filming."
Ham Eun-jung appeared on the day of the interview using crutches. The latter part of the filming was carried out with a fighting spirit despite the injury, and she revealed that she kept this fact hidden while filming. She said, "I got injured during filming, and I feel very sorry. The filming team even found a stunt double for me." She explained, "It was the same place I injured during my T-ara days. I slipped on a wet road and tore a ligament." She added, "I was given an eight-week recovery period. Fortunately, I was able to manage well."
She also expressed her affection for the drama filming. Ham Eun-jung said, "With 'Queen's House,' I want to take on any role. I hope the team's hard work is recognized." She mentioned, "I received the casting offer in December last year. It was a genre I had never done before, so I wanted to challenge myself." She went on to say, "I've never taken so much medicine as I did during this drama," referring to the physical difficulties.
Taking on her fourth work in a KBS daily drama, she said, "I think they chose me because I accept the unique system of daily dramas well and quickly learn and express it as an actress." Ham Eun-jung expressed mixed feelings, saying, "I want to rest, but I also want to keep doing it," and mentioned that she was unable to engage in other activities due to the drama filming.
Ham Eun-jung said, "I want to be called a hardworking worker of daily dramas," and stated, "My goal is to become an actress who can freely move between leading and supporting roles." She referred to her experience winning two awards at the KBS Drama Awards last year for "Blessed Us," saying, "I don't care about any awards this year. I just want the team's hard work to be recognized."
She evaluated "Queen's House" as a pioneer of daily dramas and emphasized that it showed various filming methods. She added, "The editing was well done, and the music was well placed." Ham Eun-jung expressed her wish, saying, "I want to receive an award in the name of our team," revealing her ambition for winning awards two years in a row.
