Actress Ki Eun-se denied rumors related to her ex-husband. On the 22nd, on Channel A's variety show "Close Friend Documentary: Table for Four," Ki Eun-se revealed her home along with close friends Shin Da-eun and Kim Yoon-ji. Ki Eun-se attracted viewers' attention with a fingerprint recognition door handle in the bedroom and stylish interior decorations such as a moon jar.
Ki Eun-se married a Korean-American businessman who is 12 years her senior in 2012 but divorced in 2023. At the time of marriage, Ki Eun-se lived in a luxury apartment in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, estimated to be worth 3.9 billion KRW in 2023. She explained, "Because I married a wealthy person, people think that living alone is also thanks to his wealth. I have never possessed what belongs to others."
Shin Da-eun said, "She is a first-generation influencer, but people seem to think, 'If I had a house like that, I could do that much.' But that's not true. She works really hard all day long." Kim Yoon-ji also added about Ki Eun-se, "She is one of the hardest-working people I know." Ki Eun-se said, "I think I wouldn't have been able to focus on and be grateful for what I have now if I hadn't been who I was before."
Ki Eun-se revealed plans to move next year. She said, "I achieved the goals I set while living in this house for two years." Regarding financial comfort, she said, "If I had only acted, I would have been crying every day. I earned money as an influencer, but I'm also happy working. My mother always says something. Since I was young, I had many things I wanted to do, and she said this job fits me perfectly. The happiness I gain through my own strength is great."
Ki Eun-se also mentioned her acting career on the show. She revealed, "I had my first lead role in a movie, but I was completely edited out." Although she finished filming in the Philippines for a month and a half, she was excluded in the final cut. She also said she left the daily drama "Golden Fish" midway due to the co-star's injury. Ki Eun-se explained, "I played a nurse in a drama on tvN and even took posters, but after the screening, the director was replaced, and my role changed."
She disclosed that she was unable to film the last two to three episodes of the drama "The Musical" due to unpaid wages. Park Kyung-rim, who appeared with her, recalled, "The staff couldn't film because they hadn't been paid, and the actors didn't receive their fees either. Since it was a musical drama, we gathered in the practice room and practiced really hard." Ki Eun-se confessed, "I thought 'The Musical' was my last chance as an actress, but it didn't work out. Not only did my dream collapse, but the company collapsed and everything fell apart."
Park Kyung-rim said about Ki Eun-se, "I thought she only saw the pretty things. She gives off the vibe of the youngest daughter from a wealthy family." Ki Eun-se responded, "The public's perception of me and who I am are very different. People think I lived well, married a rich man, and now that I live well alone, it's thanks to his wealth," emphasizing, "I have never possessed what belongs to others."
