Simultaneously Tops Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200

"Golden," "Your Idol," and "Soda Pop" Enter the Top 5 of the Hot 100

[The Fact | Reporter Choi Hyun-jung] The OST for the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has topped both major Billboard charts.

American music media outlet Billboard announced on the 15th that the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST "Golden" topped the Hot 100 chart on the 20th. This marks "Golden's" fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the chart, and its fifth week overall.

The "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST also topped Billboard's main album chart, the Billboard 200, achieving the feat of dominating both major Billboard charts.

By simultaneously dominating both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST achieved several new records. "Golden" tied with BTS's "Butter" for the first K-pop song to top the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks or more, and tied with "Encanto" for the most number one weeks in anime history (five weeks).

Furthermore, "K-Pop Demon Hunters" and "Encanto" are the only anime OSTs to have topped both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200.

Additionally, "Your Idol" and "Soda Pop," two other OSTs from "K-Pop Demon Hunters," also reached #4 and #5 on the Hot 100, making it the first OST album to have three songs in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.

"K-Pop Demon Hunters," an animated series about the K-pop group Huntrix as they battle evil spirits seeking to conquer the world with the power of music, exploded in popularity upon its release, becoming the most-watched series in Netflix history.
