Opening Today (17th)… Playing the Role of Miyeon, a Dreamer Who Dreams of Becoming a Famous Writer

[The Fact | Reporter Park Ji-yoon] MAMAMOO Solar is meeting audiences for the first time.
Solar gave a passionate performance in the film "The Cursed" (Director Hong Won-ki), which premiered on the 17th, as Miyeon, a woman who travels to a rural village to pursue her dream of becoming a famous writer. She expressed her feelings through her agency RBW, saying, "It's truly an honor to make my screen debut with 'Gwisi.'"
Solar continued, "Thanks to the wonderful director and warm staff, I was able to feel comfortable and enjoy filming throughout. I was even happier to be with such precious people." She added, "I may be a bit awkward, but I hope my sincerity comes through and you enjoy watching. I will strive to show you even better things in the future."
Set in "The Cursed" a ghost market that unfolds when a fox window opens, the film tells the chilling story of people seeking to acquire what they don't have. Miyeon, a character in this story, becomes entangled in a strange incident as she becomes entangled with an old tree, a guardian deity of the village.
"The Cursed" is garnering significant attention as it marks Solar's screen debut. Having previously showcased her stable vocal and acting skills in musicals like "Mata Hari" and "Notre Dame de Paris" alongside her work with Mamamoo, attention is focused on what new facet of her she will bring to the screen.
Following her musical journey, Solar plans to expand into film. She will hold a solo concert, "Solar 3rd CONCERT 'Solaris'," on October 11th and 12th at the Yonsei University Centennial Memorial Hall Concert Hall in Seoul, creating special memories with her fans.
'The Cursed' starring Solar is available in theaters nationwide.
